    Jue l Control Driving Instructor

Newcastle Under Lyme & Stoke on Trent

    • Although my main aim is to remain flexible and to tailor each lesson to the individual pupil the following conditions MUST be adhered to:

    • ·         The pupil must hold a valid driving licence for the category of vehicle being driven, this must be shown at the beginning of the first lesson and the pupil must inform the instructor of any changes to that entitlement.

    • ·         The pupil must at all times be able to read in good daylight (with glasses or contact lenses) an old style number plate from a distance of 20.5 metres (about 67 feet) or the new style number plate from a distance of 20 metres (66 feet)

    • ·         The pupil must ensure that they are not under the influence of alcohol or drugs whilst on a lesson. Please be aware of what may have been consumed 24 hours before a lesson as this may still be in your system and have consequences on your ability to be fit, able and legal to drive. Please check any prescription or non prescription drugs with regards to the operation of machinery.

    • ·         The instructor reserves the right to refuse the use of the instructors car for practical tests if the instructor feels the pupil has not reached a satisfactory standard.

    • ·         On the day of the driving test the pupil will be expected to attend a minimum ONE hour tuition lesson prior to the test. The rate for the test and lesson is £60.00. This fee is payable at least 48 hours prior to test date. This fee includes the use of the car, fully insured for the purpose of the test. Practical test fess (currently £62) are payable DIRECTLY to the DSA.

    • ·         The pupil is responsible for ensuring that all documentation required for the practical test is available for examination by the examiner and is up to date and valid. You will need your DRIVING LICENCE CARD. Full details of all documentation needed can be found on the DSA website or the letter sent as confirmation of  booked test.

    • ·         Whilst every care is taken to ensure the pupil receives tuition at the scheduled time, all appointments are made on the understanding that the instructor accepts no liability for the postponement of lessons and practical tests due to mechanical breakdown, instructor illness or any unforeseen circumstances. (Charges will not apply and instructor will endeavor to reschedule ASAP)

    • ·         The instructor is not responsible for driving tests appointments postponed by the DSA or test centre.

    • ·         If the pupil is late for the scheduled lesson the instructor reserves the right to finish the lesson at the arranged time and charge for the full lesson.
